The Young Global Economists Society (YGES) has announced a new executive team to lead the affairs of the organization.

The Young Global Economists Society (YGES) is a non-profit, non-partisan, and independent organization established to organize, coordinate, and train young economics professionals across the world and help them build new economic thinking patterns that are relevant in the 21st century and beyond.

YGES is established to be the vehicle of change by raising global professional economists who would seek to question the foundation of our current economic practices and establish relevant thought patterns.

In alignment with the vision of the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE), YGES seeks to establish a society for networking, learning, and sharing ideas and to inspire the next generation of new economic thinkers.

YGES is an initiative of the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE).

These distinguished professionals have committed themselves to spearheading the activities of the YGES in order to create value for members, partners, and all stakeholders.

Nokwanda Thulile Mathenjwa serves as President of the leadership team, and Fikri Syaryadi serves as Vice President.

Other leaders include Samuel Tetteh Tei (Head of Events), Priya Ghosh (Head of Partnerships – APAC), Mwesiigye Philip MSc-Econ, BSc-Econ, PgDip-PCM, CSP-Candidate (Head of Partnerships – Africa), Thanda Sithole (Global Head of Partnerships and Bhavya Mitra (Head of Membership).
